After my back-to-back wedding weekend trips, Kate and I decided to host a wine and appetizer party at our apartment. We had about 50 people over throughout the evening for scrumptious food and great wine. We even bought a folding table for the occasion...a big addition to our "simple living" apartment. FYI--it's impossible to keep an Atlanta apartment cool with such high occupancy, despite the AC on full blast.

Hi, I'm Lori! I grew up in beautiful southern Oregon then graduated from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon in May 2004. After graduating with a degree in exercise science and a minor in Spanish, I joined Teach for America in the Rio Grande Valley. For two years I taught bilingual first and second grade in South Texas on the Mexico border. I learned about the realities of educational inequality through my job in Texas' 5th poorest school district. Now, I am a graduate student at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. After four years of study I will have a doctorate of physical therapy and masters in public health. I'm currently on my long-term PT clinical rotations in St. Louis and Memphis.
