I recently bought a book at REI entitled "60 Hikes Within 60 Miles of Atlanta." I convinced some girls to join me for a little hiking adventure. I was excited to climb a mountain...even if it was only 950 feet, that's 950 feet higher than I've been around in the last two years! Jessica, Rachel, and I are posing by a lake we found. These ladies have been church-hunting with me too.

Hi, I'm Lori! I grew up in beautiful southern Oregon then graduated from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon in May 2004. After graduating with a degree in exercise science and a minor in Spanish, I joined Teach for America in the Rio Grande Valley. For two years I taught bilingual first and second grade in South Texas on the Mexico border. I learned about the realities of educational inequality through my job in Texas' 5th poorest school district. Now, I am a graduate student at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. After four years of study I will have a doctorate of physical therapy and masters in public health. I'm currently on my long-term PT clinical rotations in St. Louis and Memphis.

Good to hear from you...sorry I was MIA in the weeks before my wedding! Anyway, what sort of church are you looking for? Rob and I did the church-hunting thing a couple years ago, so we might be able to point you toward a few churches. We go to Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Midtown--it's only about 10 minutes from here, maybe 15-20 from your apartment. Have a good week!
